I currently coordinate the Web-at-Risk project, a web archiving initiative funded by the National Digital Information Infrastructure Preservation Program. In partnership with New York University and the University of North Texas, the California Digital Library is building the Web Archiving Service to enable librarians to capture, curate and preserve web-based government and political information. The Web-at-Risk project is multifaceted; it involves extensive user needs assessment, experimentation with promising web archiving technologies, and policy development. My role is to manage these activities and to insure that they inform the development of Web Archiving Service. The Web Archiving Service is a Java-based application with a Ruby on Rails front-end that extends CDL's existing Digital Preservation Repository.

In this position I developed, implemented and maintained the Libraries' external web presence as well as internal web-based services for librarians and faculty. DePaul University serves 23,000 students at eight campuses in the Chicago area.
Specific Projects:
I designed and built DePaul’s Copyright Clearance Request System. CCRS allows faculty and library staff to request copyright clearance, tracks repeat usage of items, generates letters to publishers and records publisher responses.
I led a redesign project for the Libraries’ web site consisting of 400+ pages and 6 database-driven applications.
I worked with the University's Instructional Technology Department to design and implement the Instruction Builder Learning Content Management System.
