The Computer Recycling Program, Inc. is a non-profit organization that I founded in 1999. Individuals, companies and organizations donate computer equipment to the Program which we repair, install and configure for use and then donate back into the community.
I have difficulty finding the time and energy to run the Program these days and I'm considering disbanding it, but because of the profound way we touch people's lives it's difficult to let go of. It is however, something that needs to be addressed by either dissolving the corporation or rethinking how it functions.
The Computer Recycling Program, Inc. was founded in January of 1999 in Miami, Florida. We received our non-profit corporation status from the State of Florida in August of 1999. We are currently in the process of considering applying for 501(c)3 status with the IRS.
