I am passionate about photography and journalism. I have a strong sense of the importance of communication in all its varied forms; print, web, verbal and visual. I pride myself in being organized and being a stickler for details, for thinking on my feet and working in a collaborative method.
I thrive in an environment that fosters and rewards independent and creative thinking. I am a strong team player and am not afraid to be a leader. I embrace new challenges, and am not hesitant to ask for assistance in areas that are outside my expertise.
Photography editor/manager, Mac OS, Adobe Creative Suite CS4, Mac apps including iMovie and Keynote, web apps including Typepad. Quick and eager learner.

My most recent responsibility was as the photo editor of the LA Times Business and National Sections. I worked with over 30 reporters and 10 editors on the photo content for the Business section, editing with photographers, wire editing, assigning freelance, working directly with the page designers on the look of the section, attending story meetings, and collaborating with reporters and photographers on story ideas and breaking news. Prior to moving downtown, I worked with the team of photographers and editors at the Orange County Edition of the Los Angeles Times for five years.
