Internal Audit Staff at Novell / Accounting Research Teaching Assistant
Provo, Utah Area
I lived in the Republic of China for two years where I learned the Chinese language and developed an unquenchable interest in languages and cultures. After returning to the States in 2004, I enrolled in BYU. At BYU I worked on my Accounting undergraduate degree and have continued studying Chinese. I am currently finishing my MAcc (Master's of Accountancy) at BYU - emphasizing in the Professional Stem (Audit). During my graduate program I will also be working on an Information Systems Minor and a Global Management Certificate. I should graduate in the spring of 2010.
Foreign languages are a passion of mine that I hope to entertain through foreign deployments within a company. Accounting firms often offer foreign office touring options and usually service a number of international clients. In a more abstract application, accounting is frequently referred to as the “language of business.”
Currently, I am working on the Internal Audit Staff at Novell which will be a standing position until my graduation. I am also working as a teaching assistant for the Acc515 Accounting Research class at BYU. I plan on moving back East sometime next year for work.
