Tony Tomlinson’s Summary

Where to begin... Well I [dream big, give more-expect less, keep at least a dozen plates spinning, barely sleep, and live for knowledge/growth/change/influence.] I believe that real success is not a measure of mere wealth; rather it is a measure of impact. It's a tall order that most people won't understand or won't be able to undertake, but it is the fundamental question that drives my every decision.

I work at ChurchillTerry, a company founded on integrity and value creation. The closest comparison would be PricewaterhouseCooper, but scaled down and almost exclusively serving entrepreneurs and closely held businesses. Founded in Dallas by an entrepreneur for entrepreneurs in 1997. Visit our website at www.churchillterry.com for more information.

I'm also attaining my MS in Entrepreneurship at the SMU Cox School of Business and my ME in Sustainability at the SMU Lyle School of Engineering. As an officer of the SMU Business Plan Competition, I oversee fundraising, community outreach, website maintenance, and communication within the university. For more information visit www.smubpc.com. I'm also an at-large representative of the SMU Sustainability Committee and spokesman for SMU's commitment to sustainable design and ecologically sound practices. Visit http://smu.edu/sustainability for more information.

As a client, an investor, an angel, a networker, a collaborator, a friend or a family member, you can trust that I will always have your best interest in mind. Integrity isn't something taught- you have it or you don't. I have a service ego; gaining satisfaction through helping people. I work very hard and I'm never afraid of a challenge. I don't take responsibility lightly, and I hold people I work with to the same standard.

  • MS in Entrepreneurship Student

    SMU Cox School of Business

    (Educational Institution; Higher Education industry)

    January 2009Present (1 year 1 month)

The SMU Cox MSE program is one of the most recognized entrepreneurship programs in the US and throughout the World. A 'good idea' is nothing if it isn't in the hands of a capable, tenacious entrepreneur- and that is why I enrolled in this program. Having already attained my finance degree (SMU BBA '05), and successfully launching a cashmere line in New York, this program has strengthened my core abilities and further developed my business acumen.

This program is best described as an opportunity to learn the nuts and bolts of creating a successful, fund-able company. I am now well versed in concept evaluation, due diligence, financial modeling, financial forecasting, market research, competitive landscape analysis, business viability assessment, top level strategy, execution, cash flow management, stimulating organic growth, and the ability to identify opportunities in emerging industries, opposed to reading about it in entrepreneur magazine.

SMU Cox provides a tremendous number of networking opportunities, mentor opportunities and leadership opportunities to all of their graduate students. All of that aside, this program is like most things in life- you only get out of it, what you put into it.

My very first transaction was the sale of Zig Ziglar's home in Willow Bend Lakes. If you are looking for more than just an agent, don't hesitate to drop me a line. Clients include buyers and sellers generally between $500,000 and $2,500,000.
