I serve as one of senior chemists in Office of Pollution Prevention and Toxics (OPPT), providing authoritative scientific and technical expertise for OPPT's efforts on overseeing and managing the hazard and risk assessment, coordinating scheduling of assessment meetings,
documenting and tracking decisions regarding existing chemicals, and coordinating with other offices to assess test data through the Existing Chemicals Program. I'm also responsible for providing scientific expertise to OPPT senior managers under the Toxic Substance Control Act (TSCA), to evaluate and interpret data pertaining to the potential hazard to the environment presented by the release of chemical substances or genetically engineered microorganisms.
