I have been a practicing attorney for 25 years and represented over 14,000 individuals while providing representation and educational seminars for the employees of the City of Chicago, Chicago Police Department, Secretary of State of Illinois, Chicago Transit Authority, Metra, and members of International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers,US Steelworkers and Fraternal Order of Police.
In 1989 I founded the non- profit international children’s organization, Dreams for Kids. Creating social change through youth leadership programs and sports and activities program for children with disabilities, the organization brings youth together to serve the local and world communities.
In 2007, I chose to assume full time resonsibilites with Dreams for Kids in order to direct its global expansion and recruit an army of goodwill ambassadors who bring leadership and change to the world.

Dreams for Kids mission is to empower young people of all abilities through dynamic leadership programs and life-changing activities that inspire them to fearlessly pursue their dreams and compassionately change the world.
Our programs include:
Extreme Recess, For the first time in many of their lives, children with physical and/or developmental challenges are introduced to adventure activities such as water skiing, snow skiing, kayaking, rock climbing, hand cycling, horseback riding, scuba diving, camping as well as many more life changing opportunities.
Dream Leaders: Bringing together young people of all abilities, from every race, religion, gender, and socio- economic background, to serve their less fortunate peers, create positive social change, celebrate our common humanity, and be the leaders we are seeking to transform the world.
Holiday for Hope: The largest event in the world for homeless and underprivileged children.

From 1984 to 1988, I served as Special Assistant Attorney General of Illinois, founded my law firm in 1982, now known as Tuohy Law Offices, providing educational seminars and legal services in estate planning, the preservation of personal assets, and financial security.
In 1990 I established the Fraternal Order of Police Legal Benefits Plan and represented countless numbers of police officers, from rank and file to police superintendent.
It was an honor to be one of a handful of attorneys in the United States to have received the highest (A/V) rating for legal ability and ethical standards as determined by Martindale Hubbell which has provided such ratings for more than 138 years.
