Tom Serres

Tom Serres is an American entrepreneur and the Founder and CEO of Rally. His primary goal, disrupt and streamline the online fundraising space for change makers alike. In 2011, he launched Rally, an online fundraising platform that turns fans into fundraisers.

Rally is built by the team that created Piryx, the largest online fundraising platform in the United States, and backed by some of the first investors in Facebook, Twitter, and Linkedin.

Tom grew up in a weird little town called Austin, TX. He was named the 2009 rising political star by Politics Magazine, awarded with the title of “40 under 40” in 2009 by the New Leaders Council, and is today driving growth and product innovation at Rally. When not engaged in mastering the dynamics of meta-philanthropy as a budding philanthropologist, he explores the various neighborhoods of San Francisco with his 3 year old daughter Madison.

In 2010, Piryx (Now Rally) won an award from Politics Magazine for the Best Online Fundraising Tool. Tom was also named a 2009 rising political star by Politics Magazine, awarded with the title of “40 under 40” in 2009 by the New Leaders Council, and is a CNN Political Technology Expert in Washington, DC. In 2008 Tom was nominated as a semi-finalist for INC. Magazines 30 under 30 award for his work at Piryx, and was a semi-finalist for the 2008 National Social Innovation Competition at the LBJ School of Public Affairs. Tom has received media recognition from Mashable, TechCrunch, Venture Beat, CNN Money, Singularity Institute, Discovery Channel, ABC News, The Austin American Statesman, Politics Magazine, CNN Domestic, CNN International, and Fox News.
