Public Relations and Online Marketing
Reno, Nevada Area
I grew up in a small rural town in Nevada raising pigs and alfalfa where I was active in athletics, Boy Scouts, and 4-H. I attended the University of Nevada, Reno and Rutgers University obtaining degrees in Speech Communication, and English Language and Linguistics. In college I was involved in Collegiate 4-H serving as the National Chairmen, National Ag Consortium Liaison, and as a Western Region Representative. In Collegiate 4-H I was part of the development and implementation of a strategic plan for the national organization, organized regional and national events, and created a national communication network through social networking. I also worked at the L.G. Cook 4H camp where I created a 6 day leadership program for 14-16 year old teens covering Responsibility, Vision, Motivation, Communication, Integrity, and Confidence.
Currently I work at Reno Passport and am engaged in website management, social networking, social book-marking, search engine optimization, video podcasting, outside sales, marketing, advertising, ad development, content creation, blogging, event production, promotion, public relations, and professional networking. I also produce a weekly local radio show on KRZQ FM, talking about local news, events, business, and people.
Beyond Reno Passport I contract my services for social network management and development, SEO, SEM, and online communication consultation.

At LG. Cook 4-H camp I worked over the summers as a Counselor in Training Coordinator. I organized and developed a leadership program under the heading Counselors in Training. The leadership program targeted teenage youth 14-16 and allowed them to learn leadership through experiential learning. In 6 days we focused in 6 aspects of leadership Responsibility, Vision, Motivation, Communication, Integrity, and Confidence. In the summer camp environment the youth were able to branch out in a non judgmental environment. Many activities that the CIT's engaged in them were not only focused on personal development but the improvement of the camp through the people and facilities around them. The CIT's performed services, activities, and spent a day working on a physical fire ring for a ceremonial aspect of the camp. I also Lifeguarded, and maintained the safety and contributed to the overall operation of the summer camp.
