Tom Merritt’s Summary

I am an executive editor for CNET TV overseeing and presenting content for video on CNET.com and CNETTV.com. My shows include Quick Tips, Insider Secrets (help), CNET Top 5 (features), and various others. I also co-produce and co-host the CNET Buzz Out Loud podcast, which has become CNET's most successful podcast and is ranked in the Top 100.

I was previously editor in charge of user engagement for CNET.com overseeing the home page promotions and headlines and advising on help and how to and community.

Before that I was department director overseeing all Web content for the TechTV network with emphasis on growing the audience in order to increase Time Spent Viewing on the network by increasing awareness and focus on programming through the website. Set editorial direction and strategies as well as community interaction and growth. Push group to develop creative ideas that will grab the attention of the public and drive them towards the networks website and TV product.

I'm looking for opportunities to be creative, develop ideas and experiment with content especially using humor.
