Co-ordinated with a large variety of staff including the News Editor, Picture Editor and bloggers to commission content. Had final responsibility for content on website and therefore used editorial judgment in the selection and positioning of stories as well as editing content to fit web style and SEO considerations.
Worked with Webmaster and Business Development Manager to tackle a series of technical and production difficulties and to increase the importance of the online product within the business.
Specific skills used during this project included editorial judgment, networking and persuading, management of human resources, dealing with external contractors, training internal staff, front and back end programming to repair online photo gallery application and CMS management.

Specific skills used included becoming highly adept with a professional CMS, working to tight deadlines, working with both editorial and commercial departments to ensure cohesive output, strong analytical and problem solving skills and the collection and interpretation of large amounts of data.
Publisher and Founding Editor
The Vibe
Privately Held; 51-200 employees; Newspapers industry
2009 – 2010 (1 year)
I originally set up The Vibe in 2009 as a space for young people interested in politics to come together and discuss and debate the issues of the day.
Since then the site has grown in remit to provide comprehensive current affairs and cultural coverage aimed squarely at high achieving young professionals working in the NGO, Political and Media sectors.
The Vibe was recently listed as one of the ten best independent political blogs in the UK by Total Politics Magazine (the lifestyle magazine for Members of Parliament).
Chair
University Radio Falmer
2006 – 2007 (1 year)
I worked with stakeholders within the University, URF and the Student Union to raise several thousand pounds for a complete renovation of the station including the creation of a new production space where pre-recorded programming could be created.
I also worked in conjunction with the other members of the executive committee to streamline the governance of the station and re-assign responsibilities to negate the paralysis caused by political infighting.
Worked with the head of content to set up specific teams responsible for creating news, spoken content and selecting music playlists to ensure a consistent, professional level across all output.
