The Daniels Office of Globalization helps coordinate the College’s global research, outreach, travel opportunities and recruitment efforts. The Office of Globalization is responsible for creating and enhancing a global perspective throughout the College through curricula, global experiences and a rich professional and alumni network. The office is also a portal for visiting international scholars and scholar-exchange programs.

My office is charged with integrating, focusing and expanding the international engagement of the Daniels College of Business at the University of Denver. This includes guiding Daniels globalization activities, increasing international engagement and enhancing the College’s reputation. My work includes developing the global strategy for the College, managing the approval of faculty-led international programs and the development of international graduate student exchange agreements for the College. I also coordinate the intake of visiting international scholars, work closely with international alumni as well as international corporate partners, and oversee the College’s comprehensive annual audit of global activities. In my role, I am a member of the Daniels Management Council, Chair of the Daniels International Issues Task Force and the Daniels Globalization Committee, and serve on the University of Denver’s International Council and International Student Affairs Council. I have been appointed by the U.S. Secretary of Commerce to the Department of Commerce Rocky Mountain District Export Council.

Designed, developed, marketed, and delivered high-content arts & letters and business education programs at the University of Oxford, England, the Notre Dame Centre in London, at the Tantur Ecumenical Institute in Jerusalem, Israel, and in Palestine for post-collegiate adults. These programs offered participants a focused, substantive engagement with the rich intellectual life of great universities and other educational partners. A common program evaluation response was that spending time with an extraordinary faculty in a historic setting focusing on an important topic was a life/career-changing experience. Direct credit-bearing Executive MBA International Immersion Program in China. Represent the College’s interests in projects and on committees within the University, including participation in development of Provost Office’s Strategic Plan for Internationalism at Notre Dame.

Worked in the U.Va. School of Continuing and Professional Studies (SCPS), née Division of Continuing Education. Charged with originating, designing, developing, marketing, delivering, and evaluating high-content (extensive classroom time) educational travel programs for adults. Managed a wide-ranging series portfolio of open enrollment, noncredit programs with an arts and sciences focus in the United States and Western Europe (Jefferson Symposium Virginia Architecture, Civil War Conference, The Seminars at the University of Oxford, The Paris Seminars, World War II in Europe). Supervised multi-functional teams in execution of logistical details for all programs. Developed and oversaw marketing campaigns to attract alumni and non-alumni adult travel-learners to programs. Built, monitored, and evaluated budgets for all programs. Assisted the SCPS Dean and the President’s Office on special projects. Elected to University’s General Faculty Council and served on or led numerous internal and external committees. In response to a request from President’s office, researched, created, marketed, obtained and managed budget for, and coordinated all details for inauguration of successful series of international programs at Trinity College, University of Oxford, England. Recruited and worked effectively with top program faculty from the University and from international and domestic partner universities. Involved, successfully, with development efforts to benefit SCPS generally and my portfolio of programs specifically. Operated entrepreneurially within University system. Created for-profit series of professionally recorded lectures on CD from the annual Jefferson Symposium.

    Invited by Marjorie Smith, Associate Dean, Director, International Student Admission at University of Denver, to represent the University of Denver in intercultural exchange delegation led by Denver Mayor Michael B. Hancock to celebrate the inauguration of direct United Airlines service between Denver and Tokyo. During the delegation's visit to Tokyo I joined colleagues from other Colorado institutions of higher education as part of StudyColordo, http://studycolorado.org/, meetings at the U.S. Embassy with EducationUSA and representatives from government and private Japanese higher education sectors. Also participated in student recruiting activities, alumni engagement, and economic development events.
