Had the fantastic opportunity to take on the role of Scrum Master and Agile Coach for the software development team at Simplify. I completed a two day course by Geoff Watts to gain Scrum Master certification. Now I'm continuing to learn new things whilst working to fulfil my role. Working with a great group of people, the team, striving for continued high performance.
Part of an agile software development team following the scrum framework. We respond to business requirements by producing valuable software in small but precise iterations. I am always learning in this team. We don't just have strong values, we execute those values on a daily basis. Test coverage, peer reviews, pair programming & continuous improvement are all part of our working day. Our team strive for high performance and consistently critic ourselves to maintain or improve where necessary.
Worked for Innoware for about 5 years and enjoy the opportunity to work on unique web based solutions with a great team of professionals.
My work at Innoware is foremost as a web developer. I also manage projects, liaise with clients on a daily basis, support existing product sets, provide training to customers and make the odd round of tea's and coffee's.
I became a director of Innoware in 2011.
This Project is to try to solve the recruitment problems within Lantra’s footprint combining an information, advice and guidance (IAG) portal with employer/stakeholder support for entry into employment for volunteers and for hard to reach groups, those not in employment, education or training (NEETS) and those seeking to secure employment upon release from prison.
I am focusing on several areas on this EIF project which include:-
- Careers Web Portal
- Development of a NEETS (not in education, employment, or training) skills recording solution
- Development of a skills’ based recording solution for Prisoners returning to work
Over the past few months, I have been looking at the existing solutions Lantra have in place and that were developed by myself a few years ago to see exactly how they can be redeveloped to meet the need of this project.
The functional requirements specification will be developed over the coming weeks and I will be updating this project accordingly.
I worked with Skills For Logistics on developing a website for their sector to enable people ether in the industry or looking to be in the industry to find out more on the types of jobs available, including the training required, expected salaries, how to get into the job and where to find further information.
Great time spent doing this course.
