Implementing Groovy on Grails to replace existing web objects/JBOSS/EJB application. Introduction of service oriented architecture concepts. Transitioned to VP of Engineering as part of the Expedia/TripAdvisor acquisition of VirtualTourist.com and onetime.com. Participated in technical due diligence of the acquisition.

Effectively, I am leading the strategic resources of IPower's I.T. department. In the first six months I have coordinated an I.T. Reorganization, improved customer satisfaction by 6-10%, reduced the complaint volume by 40%, added 5-10% to the bottom line and reduced the I.T. budget by 1/3. We have succesffully implemented version control, unit testing, UAT, code reviews, and have rolled out 2 major versions of our core product. In addition, we have standardized the farm of over 700 shared hosts, making it possible for us to begin to automate portions of the deployment process. Currently in the process of introducing UML (Use Cases, and Class Diagrams) as well as standardizing our teams knowledge of core web application technologies.

Additionally, I have produced the successful overhaul of all networking components, security initiatives, process improvement and integration between all external applications with the AS400 system. This includes the successful on time delivery of twelve brand new applications serving various business units. These accomplishments recently culminated in a successful launch of a multi-lingual, multi-currency, multi-national, content managed, fully integrated, marketing and e-Commerce platform.
