Toby is a digital strategist and entrepreneur with 10 years experience in digital media and marketing.
Toby is the cofounder of BrandExposure, a professional network and event series that connects senior brand marketers with leading thinkers in social media.
He is also a Director at The Paley Center for Media's ThinkSocial initiative, a growing community dedicated to advancing public interest activism through social media. Think Social's mission is to conduct and aggregate research and encourage and enable networking among social media and public/social sector leaders.
In early 2009 Toby launched Social Media Week in New York. Designed as an open collaboration between leaders in social media, the event ran over five days and focused on identifying and advancing social media practices and policy in the corporate, public and non-profit sectors.
Prior to this Toby ran business development for Mint Digital’s North American operation and before that he was Managing Director of Online Creative Communications, a London based digital agency which he managed for 7 years.
In Feb 2009 Toby lead the team that was behind NYC Twestival. Twestival was a fundraising event in aid of charity: water, which launched simultaneously in over 200 cities around the world on February 12th. Twestival raised $250,000+ for charity: water and help to bring worldwide public awareness to the global water crisis.
In addition to his ongoing work with charity: water, Toby is also on the senior board of Camp Interactive. CampInteractive (CI) is a not-for-profit organization that empowers at-risk, inner-city youth through the inspiration of the outdoors, and the creative power of technology.
