The Institute for Innovation and Entrepreneurship is an initiative from the University of Gothenburg supported by the Stena foundation. This position comprised two internships working in DAS' ICM group where I participated in a number of projects. Most of the biotech projects were related to management of intellectual property in plant genomics, genetic engineering, gene therapy, trait management, and identification of external technologies. Some of the typical tasks included technology mapping, IP landscape visualizations, plant variety right strategizing, IP due diligence, identification of external capabilities, recommendation of strategic fits with R&D objectives, etc.. Other projects included the development of a range of IA/IP tools and templates to be used for day-to-day IC management as well as to be included in an internal training program.
