A very old/defunct search engine and social community (free host). I started as a Perl and C developer here, then was moved to the marketing team after 3 weeks. (read: I was good enough at programming to do my coursework at UW, but not good enough to cut it in the professional world)

While on the marketing team I was responsible for getting websites listed in our search engine. Since it was 1999 and everyone was making bad decisions, my boss quickly moved me up the chain to become a senior of the Marketing team. In January 2000 I was promoted to VP of Advertising Sales where I was responsible for managing the entire Ad Sales team (me). Best .com job EVER!
