Experienced Geospatial and Web Mapping Technology Specialist
Austria
I am a Consultant, specialising in geospatial data and software. I have over 13 years’ geospatial experience. Although I work in highly technical roles, I focus on using excellent behavioural competencies. Change happens in places where I work. I enjoy my jobs and I get positive feedback from my colleagues.
My Goals:
--------------
I believe in having clear goals and being open about them. My goals are to
• continue to develop my technical expertise and personal effectiveness
• move into a senior technical consultancy role
• become a CTO with a strong business focus.
Notable Achievements:
--------------------------------
As Technical Account Manager for a large energy company account, I restored a failing customer relationship by using my skills in rapport, consultancy and influencing. The customer now compliments our service and recently purchased an extra £10k+ of Professional Services.
Providing pre-sales technical support. As a Pre Sales Technology Specialist I have helped secure £200k+ of potential revenue from a large communications company. This drew on my skills in GI technology, customer focus, consultancy and communications.
Creating, leading and managing a new technical consultancy team. The team effectively influenced the technical decisions Ordnance Survey took and received excellent customer feedback.
Providing technical leadership. I was the technical lead for Ordnance Survey’s implementation of geo web services (OGC WMS and WFS). My technical advice influenced the Directors’ decisions. By engaging with external 3rd parties I ensured that they were on course to deliver web mapping services to customers.
Tackling Data. At Hampshire County Council I designed, implemented and managed a large ArcSDE and Oracle Spatial geodatabase which underpins the enterprise GIS. This is accessed by up to 9000 end users, provides excellent performance and includes an innovative early implementation of OS MasterMap data.
