E-Marketing Professional at Ephricon Web Marketing
Washington D.C. Metro Area
I always worked really hard in the various positions I held prior to becoming a white collar professional. At one point I had three jobs at once (averaging 80 hours a week) and was taking night classes too. I love cooking as a result of my time working in kitchens & cutting fish and I can teach you how to sail as well.
During my last two years of college I had a full time job as a kitchen manager while taking a full course load.
From 2003 to '05 I worked as an account manager for my first 'real world' employer. I was responsible for the Sears account and coordinated a broad range of marketing initiatives, including but not limited to: product packaging, display design, shelf placement, print advertising, SPIF programs, Co-Op, trade show buying, seasonal product flows, and sales presentations.
In 2006 as a partner in a small floating dock dealership I was able to immerse myself in every aspect of small business. For two years I developed and implemented the company's infrastructure, business plan, and marketing strategy and grew the company from zero to $500,000 + in annual sales. It’s now a turnkey operation with hundreds of thousands of dollars in assets.
Currently, I'm happily employed by Ephricon Web Marketing, where I've been working as a full service SEO since May 1st, 2008. There's nothing like hands-on experience with client sites when it comes to learning about search engines. I've learned loads about web site analysis, keyword research, tracking and analytics, link building, site architecture, content creation, on-site optimization and usability. I've also helped launch several client web site redesigns with built in SEO functionality during my time at Ephricon.
I also help my wife with her company, Chesapeake ProCon, where I offer SEO consulting (analysis and direction only, implementation is up to you) at very affordable rates. If you need help getting more business out of your website, I can help.

My position requires both marketing aptitude and technical skills. Approximately 2/3 of my responsibility pertains to account management and implementation on behalf of some of our clients. I aim to position our clients’ websites more prominently in the search engines, primarily through natural (organic) search engine optimization (SEO).
The other 1/3 of my job involves competitive research, keyword analysis, recommendations, reports, etc.
