Timothy Post’s Summary
Timothy Post is from Boston, MA, but considers Krasnodar, Russia to be his second home. Recently, he moved back to Krasnodar with his wife and daughter. This is the third time he has lived and worked in Krasnodar.
In 1995, while an MBA student at the Olin School of Business at Babson College, Mr. Post spent 10 weeks doing consulting for a couple local Russian start-ups. One of those companies, TransAsia Ltd., was awarded the exclusive wholesale distribution rights for Procter & Gamble, in small part, because of a business plan he wrote for the company during that Summer.
In 1997, Mr. Post returned to Krasnodar to work with the same group of entrepreneurs who owned Transasia Ltd. During the two years since his original visit to Krasnodar, these entrepreneurs started another wholesale distribution company called Tander. Tander distributed all the products from companies other than P & G.
During his two years in Krasnodar in 1997 and 1998, Mr. Post worked on a development of a strategic plan for Tander in addition to hiring and managing a number of Western specialists who worked to bring Tander up to world-class standards. Tander is now the parent company of Russia’s largest supermarket chain called Magnit. Tander/Magnit went public in 2006 and is now valued at over $3 billion dollars.
Timothy Post has a blog Inside Krasnodar that is a way for him to share his love of Krasnodar with the readers. Krasnodar is still one of the undiscovered gems of Russia. But now with Sochi having been chosen as the venue for the 2014 Winter Olympics; Krasnodar will soon be discovered by the world. The Lambina Group is a land development company located in Krasnodar, Russia. The company is currently in the early stages of building Krasnodar's first private golf course community. This private community will be located 25 kilometers from the city center. The community will be built around a Western-style country club. The club will have an 18 hole championship golf course, golf training center, tennis courts, swimming pool, clubhouse, restaurant and lounge.
Phase 1 of the Master Plan should be completed in the Summer of 2011 with the opening of an 18 hole golf course.
Phase 2 should be complete in July of 2014 with the opening of the Clubhouse, Lake Club, and all infrastructure completed. -
