    Practiv Ltd

    (Privately Held; 11-50 employees; Internet industry)

    December 2002August 2003 (9 months)

    For the first six months I worked on site at Friends Provident in Salisbury.

    As IA Lead I was responsible for:

    - supervising the rebranding of FP’s web offerings. FP’s main site’s ease of use was later independently assessed as having improved from 88th to 26th amongst FTSE100 companies.

    In addition I proposed::

    - a strategy for Home Page Navigation. Like many other companies FP’s sites had grown up organically and the navigation structure was in severe need of rationalisation. My proposals won approval.

    - a plan to ensure full compliance with the RNIB’s “See It Right” accessibility standard.

    I was then transferred to Practiv’s new front-end design subsidiary BrandSalt. As the company was new it was clear to me that the path to success lay in emphasizing original thought. For this I wrote a series of White Papers, initialy on the Financial Services User Experience and on Accessibility.

My work was exclusively for multinational bricks and mortar clients -- many of them financial -- and in most cases involving significant integration with legacy systems. My largest job was as lead IA on Create, a £1.8m project to design a wealth management portal for the mass affluent
