Tim O’Connor is a talent acquisition consultant, strategist, and speaker originally from Northampton, Massachusetts, now residing in Steep Falls, Maine. Mr. O’Connor is the Strategic Sourcing Lead for Capgemini North America, one of the largest IT Consulting Firms in the World, with over 80,000 employees located in 75 countries. In his current role Tim was brought on to create and implement Capgemini’s first ever Strategic Passive Sourcing Program. He was also brought on to manage the existing Sourcing Team in Kolkata India, which is responsible for developing both active and passive pipelining for NA recruiting. Mr. O’Connor made several trips to Kolkata to work with the team in person to deliver in-depth training and conduct reviews of the team’s performance. In addition, Tim is part of the North American Recruitment Management Team where he has major influence over the strategic direction and solutions for recruiting in North America. He works with Capgemini Senior Leaders to evaluate competitors and target top talent from those organizations. Tim has also created and delivered multiple in-depth trainings to all of the NA and Kolkata recruiters on how to find candidates through deep web mining and leveraging sites such as LinkedIn.
Because of his passion for the Internet as a recruitment tool, Mr. O’Connor has developed a reputation as an authority in passive candidate research and talent pipeline development. Tim has been invited on several occasions as a guest speaker and panelist by such organizations as HCI (Human Capital Institute), Sourcecon, and ERE (Electronic Recruitment Exchange). Most recently, Mr. O’Connor was asked to be a featured speaker at ERE’s March, 2008 Conference in San Diego.
