In my 20+ years of specializing in intellectual property, I have represented clients in over 60 trademark and unfair competition disputes, 12 patent disputes, 6 copyright disputes, and 6 trade secret disputes. I have written over 100 patents, covering devices such as a relief valve, random access memory, a digital marine seismic cable, a geophone spring, erasable optical memory, laser beam steering apparatus, floating point to logarithm converter, smart erase algorithm for flash EPROMs, air gun, acoustic transducer, seismic vibrator, hydrophone, heart-assist system, differential pressure controller, and covering methods such as detecting possibly electrically-open connections between circuit nodes, mathematical modeling of underground geologic volumes, collecting SQL performance measures, predicting pore pressure in a 3-D volume, retreiving data from a relational database, acquiring seismic data, restoring coronary blood vessels, and managing multiple wells in a reservoir.
I have filed over 250 federal trademark registration applications. I have successfully sued over 50 entities on behalf of various trademark owners for trademark infringement and trademark dilution. I have represented trademark owners in various trademark oppositions and trademark cancellation proceedings. I have obtained favorable judgments and settlements for various patent owners. Periodically I publish a primer on the latest laws governing the Internet, both civil laws, and criminal laws.
My law practice includes all forms of intellectual property: software licensing, e-commerce, litigation of patent, trademark, copyright, and trade secret disputes; patent prosecution; and management of worldwide trademark programs.
