Young professional in PR and motorsport report
Amsterdam Area, Netherlands
At the age of 16 I discovered the joy of writing and practicing (online) marketing. Combined with my passion for motorsports and the curiosity of the world wide web, I started an online motorsports medium. It fortunately became one of the leading motorsports websites in the Netherlands. I soon got involved in writing press releases for successful drivers, teams, events and products as well.
Halfway 2008 I received my first real insights in the world of sustainable racing at Formula Zero, world's first championship powered by hydrogen fuel cell technology. Until present I worked on other (championship) events and PR/Business Development related projects. Currently I'm researching the (green) future of motorsports.
A great highlight was being selected as the overall winner of the 2009 Bridgestone e-reporter contest. I attended the Hungarian Formula One Grand Prix and wrote race reports and features for the Bridgestone e-reporter website. My diaries were also been published on Formula1.com.
I'm aiming to extend my work in motorsports on an international level, in journalism and/or marketing/PR.

(Events Services industry)
August 2008 — Present (2 years )
Started as an intern to discover the world of zero emission racing, I'm currently working on a research about the (green) future of motorsports.
In the meantime I also work(ed) on events like: Formula Zero's World Premier of hydrogen fuel cell racing in Rotterdam 2008, 2009 championship events, demonstration Grand Prix in Turin (Italy) and various projects on PR and Business Development subjects.
(Public Relations and Communications industry)
March 2006 — Present (4 years 5 months)
I enjoy writing press releases for several drivers, teams, series, events, and motorsport products since 2006.
My portfolio also includes publications in Formule1.nl Magazine and AutoWeek.
(Online Media industry)
June 2005 — Present (5 years 2 months)
AutosportInside.nl merged with KartXpress.nl in June 2005. Unfortunately I only fulfilled the tasks of website concept, intern management and marketing / PR during the first two years. Currently, I'm only covering the Dutch national events and report on a few international series.
(Privately Held; Automotive industry)
April 2009 — November 2009 (8 months)
Being selected as one of the eleven European 2009 Bridgestone e-reporter finalists, I attended the Hungarian Formula One Grand Prix to report on GP2 Series. A panel of international judges selected me as the overall winner.
(Online Media industry)
February 2004 — June 2005 (1 year 5 months)
Being unhappy about the quantity of motorsport news in the Dutch language, I decided to start an online medium on my own. Working with several enthusiastic volunteers, we covered almost every European based single seater competition and touring car series.
