President and founder of Palo Alto Software, founder of bplans.com, co-founder of Borland International, Stanford MBA, author of books and software on business planning. I also teach entrepreneurship one course per year at the University of Oregon and I am a frequent speaker on topics of business planning and entrepreneurship.
My job has changed. Athough I'm still president, Sabrina Parsons is running the company now as CEO, and I could call myself chief blogging officer, or blogger in residence. I'm blogging, writing books, speaking, and teaching.
My blogging includes Planning Startups Stories (at blog.timberry.com) and Up and Running ( at upandrunning.entrepreneur.com, plus Planning Demystified on the allbusiness.com site, a monthly column on the entrepreneur.com site, and additional blog posts at Huffington Post and Small Business Trends.
I also finished two books in 2008, The Plan-As-You-Go Business Plan and 3 Weeks to Startup, both published by Entrepreneur Press.
