I have gained a broad programming skills base over the years, concentrated mainly on the Microsoft web technologies of ASP classic through to ASP.NET. Having become tired of Microsoft's business practices and long term habit of writing systems that hide information from those who need it, I have been pursuing open source alternatives at every opportunity, all the time looking for the best long term investment for the businesses I represent.
Whilst my task of choice is creating programs (and websites) for end users, I am a competent system administrator when required, and have a deep understanding of many sysadmin tasks and systems, both under windows and linux.
I am a true geek, however I love to solve a business problem as much as I love a technical challenge, and seek competitive advantage wherever I can find it.
Web development, (technical rather than design), systems support and administration, other software development. Plenty of exposure to the GIS industry.
