Tristan Schmid’s Summary
I've always been particularly intrigued with sound and how it can be made, manipulated, recorded, and distributed. My interest in visual and other media grew, and I parlayed these personal interests into my academic and professional lives.
I've used computers my whole life, and am always learning how online and mobile technology can work hand-in-hand with audio and video media to tell engaging stories and share powerful information.
At Angie's List, I created, wrote and produced audio/video podcasts and the podcast's website and magazine department blog, bluehouseblog.com. Now I work for Humane Society of Indianapolis, managing their communications. You could call it one of my dream jobs (race-car driver being one of the others :).
I'm planning on setting up an A/V production studio at home, where I hope to produce music once again, and also work on various websites. Unfortunately, my volunteer venture AdoptAnAnimal.org — which I created to help find homeless animals good families — is somewhat on hold due to my recent move to a new house and new job, which fortunately is a supercharged version of AAA!
