Tiffany Kahnen’s Summary

Tiffany Kahnen is a corporate, business & IP attorney, working with emerging corporations as well as long established companies. Most recently, with Newport Beach based business law firm LaFlam Sullivan, Ms Kahnen has been involved in M&A Services, IP Protection & Maximization, Private Placements, Strategic Transactions, Co-branding efforts & Litigation, as well as sports and entertainment law. Formerly an associate with Pierce & Weiss in Los Angeles, she focused her practice on business & IP matters, as well as, media, commercial and general civil litigation. Ms. Kahnen has experience litigating disputes involving the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA), Lanham Act, The Copyright Act of 1976, Infringement of intellectual property within the internet medium and misappropriation. She also has experience with ADR and international service of process under the Hague Convention.

Ms. Kahnen received her Juris Doctorate from Whittier College School of Law, where she completed a specialized curriculum earning a certificate in Intellectual Property. Within that curriculum, she earned CALI(AmJur) honors in the study of Internet Law and was a Sr. member of the Whittier Law Journal, an honors board.

Ms. Kahnen completed her undergraduate degree in Broadcast Journalism with a minor in Communication Law and Media Policy at the University of Southern California (USC). While at USC, she completed a year-long investigative journalism piece on counterfeit trademarks in the garment industry of Los Angeles. Her piece led to an extensive investigation where she was in close contact with the FBI, Federal Trade Commission, private investigators & corporations such as Nike and Gucci.

At USC, she was a member of the 2004 NCAA Women’s Waterpolo Division I National Championship team.

Currently, Ms. Kahnen serves on the Board of Directors for the Southern California Venture Network (SCVN). SCVN fuels her passion for entrepreneurial endeavors and corporate growth.
