I was part of a global team that builds and maintains development/testing environments and customer-facing servers that are both in-house and collocated. I work with both FreeBSD and Linux (Red Hat / CentOS / Fedora) on the server side, and configure MySQL, Apache HTTPd, Tomcat, and many other software packages for custom deployment and optimal usage in our environments. I was also the guy who has to wake up at 3:00am sometimes, when something breaks... and the best part is that I didn't mind. :)
