Assemble meaning from whatever data, information or knowledge with which I interact. [] Develop strategic and tactical advantages for my clients by acting on and testing assembled meaning. [] Connect marketing and core business practices to business intelligence. [] Think and have fun.

Technology, media, distribution and language agnostic. [] Cross-pollinating knowledge across fields and disciplines. [] Locating the low hanging fruit.
Experience:
Assembling and developing an internet marketing team to provide new services for the company's clients. Developing processes and products to deliver services to clients in a satisfactory manner. Identifying, implementing and training staff on the use of new tools and techniques to achieve client objectives.
Eight years of solo entrepreneurship serving as a strategic interactive/animation/print creative partner for a variety of clients including children's media properties (Dogsharks™), government agencies (Vermont Film Commission) international business organizations (ECCO PR International, Roundstone International), and Time Book of the Year winner Alison Bechdel. Flexibility in defining business objectives, creative direction and execution were some of the requirements of this position.
A variety of "creative side projects" keeps me examining problems and opportunities from an oblique angle. Organizing an ad hoc orchestra to rehearse an opera score (in addition to arranging the score), developing an independent producer-focused animation curriculum for a small college or producing an animated documentary about a local lakemonster; all of these test and extend my management, technology, organizational and interpersonal skills.

Creative disciplines:
Information design, graphic design, information architecture, stop-motion animation production, audio production, video editing, music composition and arranging, sound design.
