I am working on the main website (landsbanki.is) and the intranet for the bank.
Web Developer
Golfheimar.is
2009 – 2010 (1 year)
Helped my friend to start his golf website. It's a social web for golf scorecards and statistics. It is programmed in ASP.NET MVC using Entity Framework to get data from a MS SQL database. I later started working a mobile client for popular mobile phones. I used jQuery mobile for UI and javascript to communicate with webservices. I used phonegap to build for different phones and still have access to the hardware (camera, gps ...) with javascript.
Web Developer in Online Banks
Landsbankinn (NBI hf)
Privately Held; 1001-5000 employees; LAIS; Banking industry
August 2008 – December 2010 (2 years 5 months)
The online bank is built using WCSF web framework from Microsoft Patterns and Practices. It uses ASP.NET, C# and the MVP pattern. I focused on the client side (javascript) and making improvements to the web framework. Two of the projects I worked on was home finance overview that used canvas for drawing interactive pie and ajax for all server communication and other project was the front page that includes widgets for different modules of the system that can be dragged and dropped around the screen.
My final project at Reykjavik University
Center for Analysis and Design of Intelligent Agents
2008 – 2008 (less than a year)
BML Realizer is an open source animation toolkit for visualizing virtual humans in rich 3D environments. As an input to the animation engine we use Behavior Markup Language (BML), a standard language for describing the coordination of body movement in animated characters. This standard is developed by a group of research labs across the world, including CADIA and University of Southern California's Information Science Institute (USC/ISI). BML Realizer uses ISI´s SmartBody as the core of the toolkit, but with necessary modifications to make it completely independent, open and very easy to use. Specifically, we adopted a new rendering engine, called Panda3D, and redesigned SmartBody's communication layer to make it usable in a simple single-application environment.
