Thomas Stirling’s Summary

I have been fascinated with the subject of web design since around 2000. I initially took classes that taught me the fundamentals of HTML through hand coding websites from scratch without the assistance of WYSIWYG editors. I feel that learning this way gave me a solid understanding of the basics.

I built on this knowledge over the years with many other classes as well as learning a lot of things in my spare time. I have been using Photoshop for over 10 years and together with this knowledge and an artistic eye, I feel I have merged the technical aspects of web design with my artistic abilities to become a well rounded designer with a strong eye for aesthetically pleasing layouts.

Since moving to the United States in the summer of 2006 from Glasgow, Scotland. I have found success in the area of web design and implementation with a number of commercial projects under my belt. I feel I have a diverse skill base, and am capable of taking direction from clients or running with my own ideas for projects.
