Debbie Neal, the Owner and Founder of The School of Protocol, understands the relationship between confidence and success. Whether she is in a professional environment or she is entertaining guests in her home, Debbie knows that success is achieved when she and those around her feel relaxed, comfortable and confident.
The eldest of three children, Debbie was raised in a Florida household where good manners were the expectation. Throughout her life, she discovered that in many social situations, she could avoid much discomfort and embarrassment if she applied what her parents had taught her about etiquette and good manners.
Debbie has a Bachelor’s degree in Journalism from Southern Methodist University and has worked successfully in the marketing and advertising industries. She owned her own business, The Cup Lady, and she flourished for 12 years as an account executive for Memphis Magazine.
All the while, Debbie had developed a reputation for being knowledgeable about manners, etiquette and professionalism. She had become well known as the Memphis area’s expert on matters of protocol, as well as personal and business etiquette.
In 2005, Debbie decided to become a certified instructor in etiquette. In 2006, she officially launched the School of Protocol in Memphis, Tennessee and began offering classes for children, adults and corporate groups to help them succeed in social and business occasions with comfort and confidence as their guides.
Debbie is certified by the American School of Protocol in Corporate and Children’s Etiquette and believes that when individuals are aware of the proper rules of etiquette, they have the skills, confidence and comfort they need to succeed. Comfort and confidence equal success – and are the keys to outclassing your competition. This formula has worked for Debbie for years, and it can work for you, too.
