Milk, Bread, Eggs, Juice. A simple grocery list is organized information. For many people the list is created in no order at all. Others will organize by meal, kitchen location or food group. I am an information architect. My grocery list organized for ease of use. Items are grouped together based on their location in the store. This makes it easier to use. As an information architect I determine and document the organization of information. I provide visual examples for creative, technical and business-minded people to easily understand how information should be organized. I can create innovative solutions for users while keeping technology, creative and business scope in mind. Whether advising on taxonomy, hierarchy, or usability I provide a users point of view. I am able to understand and communicate the needs of users as well as businesses. I can convert those needs to use cases, wireframes, functional specifications and prototypes. Milk, Juice, Eggs, Bread.
eCommerce, B2B, Information Architecture, Usability, Innovation, Leadership, Training, Talking Like A Pirate, Visio, Omnigraffle, Microsoft Office, Adobe Suite. There is also that thing that Crocodile Dundee could do with his hand to get a water buffalo out of the road. I can't do that, but I wish I could. That must count for something.
