Independent consultant working out of Boulder, Colorado and Scottsdale, Arizona. I work with clients all over the U.S. and Europe as a well-know user interface design and usabilty consultant, educator, and author. I have an M.A. and Ph.D. in Cognitive Psychology and spent 11 years in IBM developing the user interface architecture for PC GUIs and OOUIs across the industry. I'm a featured author for Web Techniques magazine's special issue on intranet design.

Most of my client work involves conducting usability assessments and evaluations of PC- and Web-based applications and websites. I often work as the GUI/Web user interface and usability guru for my clients and also as a key project team member. I have also developed and mentored interface design and usability teams for companies worldwide.

I am an expert in all skill areas of user interface design and usability: user/task analysis, interface design, iterative prototyping, heuristic reviews, interface guidelines development, and iterative usability testing. In fact, I've written two books on these topics and teach at industry events such as Seybold Seminars and WEB conferences.
