I'm a 25 year old Interactive Art Director based out of Vancouver, British Columbia. I’m an extremely adept, self-motivated interactive designer/developer who is always pursuing new ideas, mediums, and technologies to push my creativity in different directions. I’m fluent in Photoshop, Illustrator, Flash, and Dreamweaver as well as have an above-average knowledge developing with Actionscript 2.0 and hand-coding xhmtl-strict. I have production-level talents in InDesign and am in the process of bringing myself up to speed in Premiere, After Effects, Cinema 4D and Actionscript 3.0. While I am typically fairly busy dealing with my work as a freelancer and learning new things as noted previously, I am always open to possible job offers in the Vancouver area or to participate in global projects. Let's chat, I love meeting new people.

Flatcat Inc. is the name of my freelance studio. As is typical with freelancing, I had a variety of responsibilities that included client/project management, research, sub-contracting, brand design, print strategy and creative, web site design and development, sub-contractor management as well as the ever-important sales and networking components. While originally falling into freelancing more by accident that decision, Flatcat Inc. has proven to be one of the biggest forces in my life for exponential leaps in creativity, self-esteem, passion, drive, commitment, and overall technical ability development.

In the summer of 2006 I was approached by Guru Digital Arts College to teach a kids course in Flash game development. From there I branched off into teaching Actionscript 2.0 at Guru for their 2006 Spring Intake. In addition, N.A.I.T. contracts Guru for much of their adult learning teachers and I was consequently contracted to teach at N.A.I.T. everything from Flash Basic through to Flash Actionscript 2.0. These nine months, while brief, were pivotal to my growth as a Flash developer as well as the excellent problem solving and research capabilities I know possess.

RAMP Interactive is an Edmonton-based new media company focused on professional and amateur sport whose client list entailed everything from small community sport association portals through to professional organizations like the Edmonton Oilers. I was hired on as an Interactive Designer in the fall of 2003 at RAMP where my responsibilities included design and conceptual development of numerous associations, teams, players, and companies that included such re-knowned sports names as Michael Owen, Ryan Smyth, and Hayley Wickenheiser. In addition, my responsibilities also bled over into development of html and css templates for the RAMP CMS and coding of various Flash web sites and widgets.
