The Bridge LGBT Community Council Announces Summer Events:
June 27th 2009 – The Bridge, the Lesbian-Gay-Bisexual-Transgendered community council of Glens Falls, NY, is offering several events this summer aimed at “Bridging the Gap” of LGBT services and community outreach programs from Saratoga to Plattsburgh. Several events are family friendly and at no or low-cost.
The LGBT Meet & Greet at Wallabee’s Jazz Bar is offered the first Thursday of every month from 5:30-8:30PM. There is no cost, but there is a suggested $5 donation at the door.
PRIDE Bowling is held at Spare Time in Glens Falls every Wednesday from 6:30-7:30PM. Each game is only 99-cent per person. There is a $3.99 shoe rental fee. This event is family-friendly.
LGBT Yoga & Social is held every Sunday evening at 6:30PM at Bliss Yoga Studio in downtown Glens Falls. The yoga class is open to all levels and abilities, and will end with light snacks and socializing. This event is offered at no cost, but donations will be accepted.
Selected weekends we will be meeting at Tree Paad for our Same-Sex Parenting social group. The kids can run and play in their gigantic indoor Fort!
The Pride Cookout will be held Sunday, July 12th from 4:00-6:00PM at Crandall Park. If you’d like to bring a dish or make donations please contact Andrea Adams at 518-307-8426 or director@thebridgeglcc.org.

An Open House is being planned for July. There are openings available for program volunteers and those wishing to serve on the Board of Directors.
The Bridge is a New York State registered not-for-profit organization serving Glens Falls and the neighboring upper New York State counties, providing support and information to lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgendered people.
