In 1998,
Lloyd Sewell (Director of Tendering for Contracts Training ltd) identified the crucially important need for the effective training of individuals and firms who wish to become suppliers to public sector agencies. He developed and successfully delivered a series of workshops. Programme refinement lead to endorsement by SFEDI in 2004 and qualification for an Innovation Grant from the DTI in 2005, which has lead to the accreditation by ASET in 2006.
Programme Objectives -
To overcome the perennial ‘chicken and egg’ dilemma in public sector supplier capability. How? - by providing effective accredited training and support that enables learners to tender for, win and manage public sector contract projects successfully and profitably.
Each learner receives,
1. (5) Modules of online e-learning material,
2. A 290 page Workbook, + Induction Information
3. Learning Time of (Workbook + Online Material) is approximately (45) hours (min)
4. An assigned Verifier / Mentor,
5. Certificate / Diploma in Tendering for Public Sector Contract Management.
Learner Verification and Support will be provided throughout the UK by Enterprise Solutions Training Ltd
Training Programme Endorsement and Accreditation -
This means that the training is not only for firms who wish to learn how to tender for public sector contracts but also individuals who wish to improve their management skills or change their careers.
Learners will for the first time be able to get verified mentored training and receive an accredited CERTIFICATE or DIPLOMA in “Tendering for Public Sector Contract Management, on successful completion, which will be internationally recognised.
ASET awards are designed to be equivalent to levels of the (NQF), National Qualifications Framework, they are recognised and regulated by QCA, (Qualification Curriculum Authority) to provide ASET Qualifications for the National Qualifications Framework.

Training projects include; "Tendering for Contracts" delivered in the form of a one-day workshop for small firms, and his most recent project, Marketing Products and Services for Small Firms, Core content includes marketing products and services to contract providers, implementing quality management systems, managing contract projects and tender document preparation.

My other past activities include, treasurer of Thames Valley Small Business Club, Joining a local action group, a member of an executive action program, and a member of the Princes Youth Business Trust, I was also instrumental in the planning and successful delivery of the first Black Lawyers Conference in London in year 2000.
