2000 — Present (9 years)
From 2000 to 2005, my beat centered on semiconductors, semiconductor equipment, and electronic instrumentation; in 2005 and 2006 I covered an international beat focused on companies in the Low Countries and the Arab world; in 2006 and 2007, my beat included a wide variety of industrial companies in the U.S. and abroad, especially makers of heavy machinery and paper. Early in 2007 I took on new duties promoting Hoover's expertise through commentary on the Hoover's site and in venues including XM Satellite Radio.

1999 — Present (10 years)
I've written more than 150 articles, essays, and reviews for publications including the Austin American-Statesman, Austin Chronicle, and Baseball Prospectus, plus specialized trade journals and house publications. My work has covered many aspects of business (including high-tech industry, sales effectiveness, and executive profiles), history, literature, the environment, and sports (especially baseball). I'm always interested in finding more good venues for my work and more good editors with whom to work.
