Mr. Tanner served 15 years in the United States Air Force as an Intelligence Officer, with nine of those years served in the European Theater in Berlin, Germany; Augsburg, Germany; and Rimbach, Germany.
Since leaving the Air Force, Mr. Tanner has gained 25 years of experience in the technical project management arena. He has served in significant technical management positions with TRW, Inc; E-Systems; and Autometric, Inc., within the Government Contracting domain and has spent the last ten years managing projects and managing Project Management organizations within the commercial sector with such companies as Channelpoint, Inc.; marchFIRST consulting; and Orcom Inc. in Insurance, Utility Billing, and e-commerce technical areas. Mr. Tanner served as the Director, Project Management Office for Expanets, Inc., managing the implementation of a $100 million ERP/ CRM system and then overseeing the release management services for that system. Mr. Tanner was the Senior Program Manager for Great-West Life and Annuity in Denver, where he managed critical and distressed projects for the company, before joining ESC Loyalty in Atlanta, GA., as the Executive Vice President, Project and Product Management. Mr. Tanner is now a Managing Consultant with Headstrong Consulting working with Oppenheimer Funds in Denver providing PMO and Program Management expertise.
Mr. Tanner earned a B.B.A in Management from Angelo State University and a Master of Science in Project Management from the University of Wisconsin. He has been professionally certified with the Project Management Institute since December of 2000 as a Project Management Professional (PMP).
