Terry Taylor’s Summary
I have been designing websites since 1997. My fascination with websites and the internet prompted me to explore how it all worked. I am self-taught. I read tutorial after tutorial online for HTML, javascript, css, and dHTML. I bought HTML books and java books. I read until I couldn't read anymore and I practiced designing for hours on end.
I have been actively creating websites and all types of graphic images and print materials since then. I started my own design business, Sassy Designs, Ltd., in May, 2002. I can (and often do) sit in front of my computer for hours on end designing anything from web graphics and websites to advertisements and other print materials.
I dream in HTML. I dream about new designs and when I wake up I am compelled to sit down and code them out. I hand code every site I create using notepad and my memory. I wouldn't do it any other way.
My workflow seems to have shifted from web design more to the print design side of things. I've had the opportunity to be the layout and print designer of a local tabloid publication devoted to canines. I've designed numerous print ads, postcards, brochures, and greeting cards. Design has no boundaries. You can go as far as your imagination and skill will allow you to. I am constantly learning more and trying new things.
Creativity is a gift to be cherished. Design is my passion.
