He has appeared on BBC TV programmes including The Politics Show, 6 O'Clock News and Countryfile to discuss sustainability issues. He has been appointed to the EU's Interreg project review expert panel and the pool of experts on the EU's Urbact programme. He produced the report LOTUS: Leapfrogging Obstacles to Urban Sustainability for the Local Government Association.
