Gareth is one of the most successful practitioners of eco-industrial development in the UK. He established Terra Infirma in 2006 to bring sustainability to industry, industrial clusters and the public sector. Clients include:

Gareth is the author of the Green Business Bible eBook (http://www.greenbusinessbible.co.uk).
He is regularly invited to speak and write on eco-industrial development and has an international profile in the field. He has been appointed to the EU's Interreg project review panel and the pool of experts on the EU's Urbact programme. He produced the report LOTUS: Leapfrogging Obstacles to Urban Sustainability for the Liberal Democrat Group on the Local Government Association.
Previously, Gareth conceived, planned and delivered the pioneering Tees Valley Industrial Symbiosis Project (2003-2004) which engaged over 90 businesses and diverted 150,000 Tonnes per annum of waste from landfill. After TVISP he established the North East branch of the National Industrial Symbiosis Programme which has gone on to greater heights. In addition he has spent over 6 years providing environmental support to over 70 Small & Medium Size Enterprises, and ran the Environmental Technology Transfer Club, probably the most successful environmental business club in the North East.
Areas of expertise include sustainable production and consumption, sustainability strategies and policy, corporate social responsibility (CSR), legislation, industrial ecology, industrial symbiosis, resource efficiency, waste minimisation, recycling, energy efficiency, urban sustainability, eco-building, eco-product development and marketing.
