With nearly 20 years of real world IT experience, my career has spanned the public and private sectors from manufacturing to health care in both the for-profit and the not-for-profit worlds. Former President and Founder of ARTSinCT, Inc. I have an entrepreneurial background to plan, direct and manage an initiatives growth. I have a broad range of experience in the roles of Business Analyst, Technical Writer, Software Instructor, Project Manager, and Flash Artist with my primary contributions in the science of Graphical User Interface development.
I served as Vice President of the Interactive Software User Group with over 3,000 members worldwide and was a leader in building consumer consensus through the creation of focus groups for Fortune 500 companies. Most recently, I was part of a team developing an Internet startup company leveraging HIPAA compliant EDI technology for use in a web application that automates the billing cycle for health care providers and payer organizations.
As a volunteer, I have also developed a interoffice software system for integration and management of volunteers and donors for AIDS Project Hartford and my Flash design work can be seen at BigPictureSmallWorld.com and has been featured on UNESCO web site.
I've reached a place in my life and career where I have acquired a broad skill base in web interface design and in facilitating discussion about business strategy in the internet space. I see myself as a guide with excellent vision and instincts. I have finally come to the realization that I am a natural open source evangelista - both from a business "ROI" standpoint but mostly from an "it's the right way to think" point of view.
