Even though this is a volunteer, not a paid, position, I wanted to highlight my involvement with this group as it's been an amazing experience. Over a five-month period each season we put in increasingly significant hours to train for a marathon (26.2 miles). That shows dedication and discipline. We also conduct fundraising events which takes some organization, commitment, and follow through. And we encourage one another which builds team skills. An altogether life-changing experience that should be on everyone's resume!
