Fresh from art school, I started out believing I was going to be a world class graphic designer. But, as fate would have it, I was required to be practical and accept a position as a Technical Illustrator. One job in the technical arena led to another and what I ended up with is a diverse and varied skill set.
At one time I was fairly well-versed in CAD design and blueprint reading, but if you ask me anything about it now, my eyes would most likely glaze over. However, I will occasionally take on the random graphic design project to keep my hand in just to prove that I do have an art degree. Web design, on the other hand is nothing more than a hobby at present.
My latest "self-fulfilling" project is creative writing. Perhaps I will never write the great American novel, but, one day, I just might give it a try.
