(Design industry)
December 2001 — September 2005 (3 years 10 months)
In 2001 I began working with Shane Iseminger as a contract copywriter and editor for both in-house campaigns and integrated client design projects. In 2005 my role began to shift to consultant-at-large, also offering larger-scale communications consultation, project direction and user experience testing and feedback.
We continue to partner up on a variety of projects, rolling up our sleeves at the onset of new projects to brainstorm the intersections of great design and storytelling. Late nights and egg rolls may or may not be involved.
(Publishing industry)
1992 — 2001 (9 years)
Developed, wrote and edited stories for a variety of print and web publications, including three local newsletters and two print trade monthlies in the regional real estate and residential building industry.
As an independent journalist, my work spanned the stablishment of community contacts, both sales and media, planning editorial calendars, developing and editing feature stories, managing part-time writers and other freelancers on team projects and assisting clients in the development of successful advertising and public relations campaigns.
(Privately Held; 201-500 employees; Newspapers industry)

Wrote a weekly "at the coffee shop" column each Monday, featuring shorts from local businesspeople during the dot com boom on how the Internet was changing the way they do business -- from sales to employee communications to selecting vendors.
