Have been in the technology and media industry since leaving my post-doc at MIT. Spent five years at Accenture helping them figure out how to use technology to replace classroom training courses. Then left to run a start-up affiliated with Gartner. Built and managed a syndicated research business for Gartner and then left to join the management of TechRepublic when Gartner acquired them. I was working with the TechRepublic brand and then the ZDNet brand since 2000. Joined the mangement team at CNET Networks in 2001 when they acquired the business from Gartner. Was responsible for the P&L and product directions for www.zdnet.com, www.techrepublic.com and www.bnet.com for two years. in May 2006, I was asked to lead research for the company and after creating some unique programs around consumer media dynamics with business intelligence and social networking, I found my passion in the consumer issues in online healthcare. To pursue this passion I co-founded and serve as President of www.medtrackalert.com. I remain a CNET fan and serve as a Research Fellow for CNET Networks with a focus on social networks and advice-giving.
My formal education is in Cognitive Science with both a MA and Ph.D. in Cognitive Science. Designed and managed a virtual envrionment experiment which flew onboard the Space Shuttle Columbia in 1998. Have one patent.

January 2007 — May 2008 (1 year 5 months)
I formed this company with a few good friends from TechRepublic and CNET in pursuit of a new passion of mine: fueling the consumer empowerment in healthcare. My simple idea was to make it easy for consumers to get any news of discoveries or issues with the medicines they take everyday for chronic conditions. Because the business model we selected was both lean and targeted, it has been one of the fastest growing businesses in health media. My primary interests in the business are in providing leadership around product direction, sales strategy and marketing.
