What better way to combine the two then search engine optimisation and marketing.
I've worked for very highly paced and dynamic South African companies. Internet Solutions, the biggest internet service provider in South Africa, is still today voted one of SA's best companies to work for. It's where I started my IT career and when I gained most of my technical experience. It's also where I fell in love with the internet...
The second is Brandbox Media. A company that runs some of the largest Microgaming online casino's in the world, I was one of the first staff members. It's there my online marketing and technical skills and abilities came to life. Being fortunate enough to take their technology to a new level by running their IT infrastructure. I was fortunate to have worked for such an awesome company. I also founded their SEO department and headed up the SEM marketing team.
I then joined Wizard Home Loans. My plan was to take them to a new level "online" before I immigrate to Australia. The immigration part never happened but Wizard Midrand South Africa (http://www.wizardmidrand.com/) is now the 2nd biggest Wizard franchise and even with these tought times, we're kicking some serious ###.
I am now the Managing Director of Wizard Midrand and soon to be a partner in South Africa's new SEO company - Expandsa.com. I head up the strategy and development behind the SEO team. Ivolution SEO is the other SEO company that I own.
I have also delved into a little venture capital and private equity. The company is called Bassetto Investments. We do venture capital for small companies in South Africa. No website yet - bassettoinvestments@gmail.com.
So life moves on anf things get more exciting.
