In this capacity I was in charge of $2+ billion in revenues, 2000+ employees, $250 million+ expenses, and 22 facilities (including sales, operations, POS terminal and collateral fulfillment centers) . My responsibilities included the Discover merchant network, bank/processor relations, operations, finance, planning/strategic development, marketing,, information technology, international expansion and sales. I was also responsible for Morgan Stanley's U.S. fulfillment operations. I was a direct-report to the Chairman/COO of Discover and a member of Discover’s Management Committee and of parent Morgan Stanley’s senior management group. More recently have been a consultant to the financial services industry. Some of my clients have included Citigroup, Morgan Stanley, Bain, McKinsey, Goldman Sachs, J.P. Morgan, Credit Suisse and Citigroup. I am a member of the Board of Directors of Merchant e-Solutions (a payments processor) and a Board Advisor to Progress Financial Corporation (a Hispanic-oriented lender). I have provided key testimony in several high-profile card industry litigation cases and do expert witness work. I am president of Valtegrics LLC, an organization-development consultancy focusing on values, integrity and ethics. I have been a contributor to trade publications and have served as an industry expert in print, radio and television media.
