A professional and entrepreneur with substantial experience in intellectual property management, investment analysis, strategic planning, technology evaluation and licensing, business development and technology commercialization with focus in life sciences and medical technologies.

At Everest International, Inc., provides consulting services in management of intellectual property, patent filing and prosecution, intellectual property due diligence for M&A's, technology licensing, technology commercialization and business development. Currently serving on advisory boards of International Trade Club of Chicago and ChinaEye International Consulting LLC.

Co-founded Everest Intellectual Property Law Group and served as Managing Director. Responsible for the day-to-day operations and new business development of the firm as well as patent prosecution for clients.

Previously, was Head of Strategic Development of Life Sciences at the Chicago law firm of Bell Boyd & Lloyd (now known as K&L Gates). Concentrated patent practice in life sciences and was Vice Chair of the Biotech Committee of the Intellectual Property Law Association of Chicago.

Prior to that, served as Director of Strategy and Business Development at Baxter International Inc. responsible for management of Baxter’s acquisitions, technology commercialization, licensing and strategic alliances.

Also served for more than eight years in various R&D positions in academic and industry. Recipient of Damon-Runyon Research Fellowship at Harvard Medical School.

Holds a BS degree in Biochemistry and a PhD in pharmacology from the State University of New York, as well as a Master of Management from Northwestern University.

Admitted to the United States Patent Bar to practice patent law with the United States Patent and Trademark Office.

Writes and speaks fluent Chinese (Mandarin and Cantonese).
